Our Love Story

"It was January of 2018 and I was in Kona doing a YWAM missions school and in walked a girl with a smile that would flip my life upside down and inside out. Dancing, games and ministry together meant that we very quickly became best friends. After 3 months of outreach in the Nations I knew I would not find another pearl like Ashley and knew I had to pull out all the stops to ask her to be my girlfriend. This was just the beginning. . . Within two weeks of dating we were sitting on either side of the Atlantic yet this physical distance couldn't keep us from falling more and more in love, realizing the potential of what could be. Late night calls, posted flowers and virtual picnic dates led us deeper into knowing one another. So when we had been dating 6 months I knew that I knew that I needed to find something shiny to put on her finger, so that we could have forever. January 6th 2019 just over a year after we met, with the help of some incredible friends, she said yes to writing our story. There were, candles, photos, rose petals, romantic music and a few amused locals who cheered as I got to make her smile knowing that this was the promise of our forever. Now we get to be forever friends, dance partners, competitors, and adventure buddies knowing that with God as our focus, life promises to be all but boring and mundane."
