We're headed to South America for our first outreach together!!!

"CAN A NATION BE SAVED IN A DAY?"

We were presented with this question last year by Dominic Russo, the founder of missions.me and 1Nation1Day. Both Jaco and I were captivated as he described his journey of creating the 1N1D organization that has now been to Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic where he truly has seen entire nations transformed and presented with the Gospel in a day.

We are beyond stoked to officially announce and share with you, that we have the incredible opportunity to be leading a team of 13 students from the school we’ve been staffing here at YWAM to join in and be apart of 1Nation1Day PERU! We are so excited about this opportunity to partner with this ministry and to get to lead this amazing team together!

Today we want to tell you all about what we will be doing in Peru and to stir up hope that we are truly in a new era of missions!

Before we tell you all that we will be doing, we want to tell you about this incredible organization we are getting to come under and partner with. 1Nation1Day has become the new standard setter in the missions world. Constantly shattering boxes that most would deem “too big” or “impossible” this mission has seen entire nations shifted and affected by the gospel in just days.

In 2011, Dominic Russo launched the “1Nation1Day” vision in Honduras – a project that attracted the largest foreign missions team in history and was officially declared a national holiday by the Honduran President. On the week of July 20, 2013 more than 1 million Hondurans were personally reached through the 1Nation1Day outreaches and every national newspaper announced “We Have A New Honduras.” In 2015, the 1Nation1Day vision spread to the Dominican Republic. The world watched again as 1Nation1Day forged top-level government partnerships and the national church united for the salvation of their nation. Then in 2017, the momentum around the globe erupted - mobilizing our largest team to date. 2,858 missionaries representing over 100 different churches from 33 nations and five continents descended upon the nation of Nicaragua. Since the birth of this movement, 1Nation1Day has swept across three nations - mobilizing over 8,000 international volunteers, reaching more than 2.5 million people face to face, and millions more through media.

And now they are taking on Peru and we get to help lead one of the hundreds of missions teams that will be spreading across the nation and saturating every city with the Gospel. This will be the largest missions team ever formed in history with over 5,000 missionaries coming into Peru from nations and organizations across the globe all meeting up with over 5,000 local Peruvians who have signed up to be trained and activated into missions. That makes a total of 10,000 missionaries focused on intentionally reaching and saturating the entire nation and touching every sphere of society.

We can not believe that we get to be apart of this incredible event. The government of Peru has fully agreed to not only let every missionary into the nation, but has opened and given us permission to go into EVERY SINGLE HIGH SCHOOL in the entire nation and hold an all school assembly where we will get to present the Gospel and minister face to face with every student in the nation! WOW! We can not wait. Our team will be going into 3-4 schools a day preaching the Gospel, sharing about finding identity in Christ alone, and performing several specific dances and skits that 1N1D has written and choreographed specifically aimed to address the most common strongholds and issues faced by Peruvians.

1nation1day.com describes it the best: "This isn't a normal missions trip - it’s 1Nation1Day. 5,000 passionate missionaries, over 360 teams holding over 5,400 outreaches, 15 stadium events in every major stadium around the country - we’d like to call it epic, but this is so much bigger."

After a week of the high school ministry, our team will be going to help with one of the 15 stadium events where the Gospel will be preached and broadcasted across the entire nation.

To say we are excited might be the biggest understatement ever, because we can hardly wait to get there! Not only do we get to lead and go together, but our team and students are incredible and have become some of our very best friends. This 12 day outreach will be packed full of adventure, fun, and seeing God do some incredible things in this nation. Just getting to be apart of this monumental mission feels like such an honor.

After Peru, we will be coming back to Kona for just a few days before embarking on our next adventure. We added it up and realized that in the span of 40 days, we will be going to 4 different continents, and on at least 16 different flights! Want to know where we are going and what's next for us? Then stay tuned in and follow us on this wild adventure we are on as we say yes to Jesus and follow Him to the ends of the Earth for Love!

As always, thank you for your love, encouragement, support, and prayers, we couldn't do this without all of you behind us! Sending blessings and love your way,

- Jaco & Ashley
