Our little home has also become our quarantine prayer room the last few months.

God is on the move

With all of the craziness going on in the world in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic and the eruption of protests and riots in America and around the world, we wanted to take just a moment to reflect on what God has been doing in this past season. This is not to forget what is going on or to try to put a band-aid on real pain that so many people are experiencing in this time. However, it is so easy when we are bombarded by negativity day in and day out to lose track of who God is and where He is in the midst of all of that is happening. Below are some stories and links to articles of some of the testimonies that have encouraged us and given us hope that God truly is who He says he is.

For us, we report these numbers not to boast about to numbers, but to celebrate with God, each of these numbers reflect an individual whose life has either been transformed or has the potential to be transformed. That is why we report these numbers in order to be able to celebrate what God has done and give him all the glory. We wanted to invite you into this celebration with us as well as to give hope for your family, city or nation.

South-East Asia Campaigns

In January 2020 a large group of missionaries from YWAM Kona partnered with 143 other organisations to form a team of 296 people from 29 different nations. They went to South East Asia to a country that just 10 years ago was completely shut off to Christianity, as Christians were chased away with stones and knives. 10 years ago this nation still held public executions, however, by the grace of God this team was able to complete 5 simultaneous evangelistic campaigns as well as widespread Bible distribution and leadership and pastoral gatherings. In one of the cities, there were a mere 2000 Christians in a city of 300,000.

During their short strike to this nation the team saw:

  • Between 7000 & 8000 people gathered every night for four days

  • 95% of those gathered came as Buddhists

  • Over 1000 people gave their lives to Jesus meaning that the church grew by 30% in 4 days.

  • They were able to go to Islands that had never been reached before by any Christians

  • Around 100,000 Bibles were distributed in 4 days

  • Another 190,000 Bibles were left for the local body to distribute

  • 154 confirmed healings in 2 days

The Send Brazil

Fast-forward to February 8th 2020, The Send Collaboration led by Andy Byrd was able to fill 3 stadiums in Brazil as, Brazil declared they are ready and raring to go, to live out a missions lifestyle. It was an incredible day with over 150,000 people in the stadiums and 600,000 Brazilians watching the live stream. The slogan of the send is to start the war on inaction. The goal is to activate the everyday believer to adopt their Highschools, universities, orphan crises or the nations and take responsibility to take Jesus the answer to these areas. At the event in Brazil, the following happened:

  • 18,476 People adopted the mission field of the nations

  • 44,326 People committed to the Jesus Fast (March 1-April 9) to believe for a worldwide revival.

  • 10,916 University students committed to reaching their campuses.

  • 6,949 High School students committed to reaching their high schools.

  • 12,724 People committed to engaging the foster care & orphan crisis in Brazil.

  • 50,000 committed to reading the New Testament this year.

  • 7,847 first time Salvations.

Each of these commitments had people following up, connecting, activating and engaging those that made commitments with people, ministries, resources or tools relevant to their lane.

Just over two months later, after multiple events were cancelled due to the COVID 19 outbreak, the Send Colab decided to hold an online follow-up event.

  • Over 3 million connections to watch the live stream at its peak

  • Multiple reports of physical healings including one person who was on their death bed in a coma during the event. Their friends were watching the event and prayed non-stop by the end of the day the friend came out of the coma, WAS HEALED and got saved!!!

GOD IS GOOD

During COVID 19 and beyond

Below are stories and links to articles of further testimonies that have been coming out of the nations amidst the pandemic and the racial protests and riots:

China:

A story emerged of a group of 40 people who were all critically ill with Corona Virus that had all gone to one last prayer meeting just them as a group with no-one else present.

They all left the building completely HEALED and healthy.

South Africa:

The Fire and Fragrance team in Potchefstroom South Africa has been seeing incredible fruit from their social media outreaches including:

  • Multiple online high-school small groups starting through social media interaction

  • Multiple people committing their lives to the Lord

  • Hundreds of hours of worship and intercession for South Africa and the nations working with a nationwide initiative called Worship SA

  • Business-men connecting to hear how to do business God’s way

  • The joining together of multiple ministries, organisations and denominations from around South Africa to equip and activate the everyday believer with online resources.

America

  • Commission the City hosted a free online Revival Course, more than 5000 people signed up world-wide to learn about past moves of God. With each episode, they went through application points to experience a personal revival as well as how to be part of ushering in corporate revival.

  • One of our Staff members Frenchie Gamora started using his online platform to preach the gospel and teach people how to share their testimonies. Through this he saw 10 of his friends give their lives to Jesus. These were friends that have never shown any interest in the gospel before. There is hope for the person that you are praying for right now! As well as this in one of his live streams, as he was talking about the Power of God, 3 people got physically healed just by hearing the testimonies of God’s goodness.

  • Christophe one of our other staff members joined with Circuit Riders ministry as well as a number of other ministries to go to the corner of the street where George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis. They were invited by a local pastor to come and share about true hope in the hurting. Here are some links to newspaper articles and videos about what happened there:
